I completed my Nurse Training at Queen Elizabeth School of Nursing Birmingham In February 1994.
Once qualified I had a year at Birmingham Children Hospital on the Day Surgery Ward. I then worked in Community Nursing from 1995-1999 working from a Grade D to Grade E nurse . In 1999 i became a full time Mum to my four children i was a childminder for 4 years during this time. I had a personal change of circumstances and became a care assistant at the local Hospice and as you can see from my employment history i have worked ever since in - i completed the Return to Nursing Practice Course and im now a registered Nurse PIN Number 90Y0934E.

Im currently a Project ManagerFor Funded Nursing Care Continuing HealthCare implementing a new policy to reduce NHS expenditure and ensure the best level of care for patients/citizens while working with the Local Authority . This is a highly srutinised and pressurised role. Working closely with the stakeholders , execs and chief Nurse. In this role and has been my role for the last 4 years i manage 11 staff , im involved with recruitement, managing staff, HR, Complaints , supervision and appraisals.Prior to this i was a Continuing Health Care Clinical Lead assessing patients agains the CHC Framework , managing complex packages of care, implemnting this care and assesing the affectiveness. I have huge awareness in realtion to consent, safeguarding , health and social care policies and Lasting Power of Attorney. The packages of care in the community were incredible complex or patients with a high level of health need. I worked closely with agencys, Social Care and Multi disciplinary services.
Im a energetic employee well-versed in strong communication and organisation skills. Seeks solutions to problems and applies extensive analytical knowledge to findings. Adept at multi-tasking, leading group discussions and managing projects.
All of the above skills - clinical, managerial, leadership and mentorship are transferable to the role i am applying for. It is imperative that training to students is delivered by the health professionasl with experience of NHS, Health and Social care, who are empathetic and patient. I pride myself that i am able to adapt my way of delivereing training / information to students to ensure they learn in there best way. I am aware i havnt taught in the traditional way however i have delivered training , completed assessments , presented workshops and had numerous feedbacks on the training i have delivered. I am passionate for the next generation to learn and very keen to be in this role. I am aware i will require training and support and welcome this .

Deb has stepped into this new role, and its like nothing she has every experienced before. I would go as far to say its one of the hardest jobs in CHC.
