Friendly retail professional with successful background in sales and excellent customer service skills and communication.
I have found life experience has given me what work experience hasn't. No longer a full time parent I am eager to bring what I have learned into the work place.
Retail background
undefinedI am not one to shy away from a challenge, and 2 years ago I found myself registering my interest for a place in the London marathon. Sadly, I wasn't offered a place in London, but instead ran with an official virtual place, which saw me pound the streets of Bolton for over 7 hours in October of 2021. Not put off, I have found myself signed up again for this year.
In my free time, you can often find me in the gym or on a nice day, taking our family dog for a long walk up Rivington or over to Southport for a run on the beach.
My love for BSL came from when I was taught the alphabet back in primary school. From then on, I knew I wanted to learn the language and despite repeated setbacks I finally realised my goal when I joined the Fylde coast BSL centre, who have taken me right through from my foundation course and will continue to take me all the way to interpreter level.
I also love to do charity events at home, hosting a Macmillian coffee morning, or firing up the BBQ and getting the family involved in a "Jacobs Join" and raising funds for DiabetesUK or Marie Curie. In fact last years marathon saw me raise funds for NDCS, the national deaf children's society, as I really wanted to find a way to give back to the deaf community after learning, and continuing to learn BSL.
I am also a passionate vegan who loves to cook, especially oriental style dishes and of course cake.
