Have worked with pupils who have Cognitive learning delays, severe and profound learning delays, Social, Emotional and Mental health Challenges, Autistic spectrum disorder and ADHD. I also call on lived in experience of raising an 18 year old Son who has Down Syndrome and Autism as well as a Autistic Daughter.

Am open friendly and approachable by both Staff and pupils and often check in on others who are struggling or have asked to chat with a pupil who is finding it hard to engage, naturally kind, caring and empathic nature has been a real asset in both parenting and especially during role at The Beacon.

  • I assist in the running of a social club for children and young people with cognitive and physical disabilities we meet weekly and arrange club outings and social events, this is am much of a opportunity for parents to meet and support each other as it is for the young people to build there social and communication skills.
