I am currently working with Avon and Somerset Police as an Emergency Call Handler, taking 999 and 101 calls from the public, I have been a call handler since January 2025 following an intensive 5 week training course and 6 week tutorship, where as well as learning to use all of the different systems I also had to learn basic policing policies similar to a Police Officer.
Previously to this I progressed from an Apprentice administrator to Student Services Manager at The King Alfred School an Academy, completing my NVQ in just over a year and re-taking Maths and English to ensure I am up to date with my qualifications.
I am very focused and confident, I write everything down and am very organised and motivated.
Being the first point of contact for members of the public calling 999 and 101
Empathetic to callers, ensuring all of the correct information is taken and recorded correctly and accurately

Administering the Transition process for the current Year 6 students in Primary School to Year 7
Providing administration support to the whole school
Using Google Drive, Word, Excel, SIMS, Weduc and iTrent daily
Support staff and students providing relevant assistance when needed. Navigating and dealing with some difficult situations and providing a safe place to talk when appropriate
Communicating with parents/carers on a daily basis
Maintaining best practice within the school adhering to rigid safeguarding guidelines
