Work history

Medical receptionist in GP

Waterfront Medical Centre
Barry
08.2023 - Current

I took on this role as a temporary position to cover maternity leave. I was at a time in my life where I had a lot of personal change and my previous role unfortunately did not suit my needs. I had full intention of possibly returning, the door was always open at eCube. However, I never expected to enjoy and embrace my new role as much as I have. Within my time working in the practice I feel I have become an important member of the team. It has made me re-think my future and what I would like to achieve. I would love to remain in healthcare administration and my aim would to progress with a surgery enviornment.

  • Welcomed visitors warmly-created a pleasant atmosphere within the practice's premises.
  • Streamlined the check-in process to reduce patient waiting time significantly.
  • Managed telephone lines, providing accurate information to callers when required.
  • Maintained confidentiality of medical documents as per data protection regulations.
  • Handled prescriptions diligently, minimising any potential errors or miscommunications.

  • I have taken the role on of training new and current staff members with many varied roles of administration.
  • I work closely with the practice manager with creating training programmes and developing standing operating procedures.

Business Support Administrator

eCube Solutions
St Athan, Vale of Glamorgan
04.2019 - Current

My job role at eCube has always been a very varied role. Since Covid has hit, it has unfortunately caused our company many issues. Being an aviation company relying heavily on our travel industry it has affected business largely. My main responsibility is arranging for airlines to return their aircrafts to our facility, when they have come to either their end of lease or end of life and are looking to dismantle their aircraft. With this section of my job, I was dealing with owners of aircrafts, airlines and pilots globally. This part of my role comes with a lot of responsibility. We need to ensure that we have all correct and efficient information ready for HMRC to declare aircrafts into our country and ensure we hold correct Visas for Border Force and St Athan airport insprections. If we provided them with incorrect information this could cause many problems for Great Britain customs and we could face many fines and even closure. We do not have as many aircrafts arriving lately so one of my main focuses is to now support all areas of eCube with any administration needs. From this this I have gained experience and knowledge in many different departments. For example reception cover duties, sales, social media marketing. Since having different experiences it has resulted in me now wanting a new challenge and to further my career to another level.

  • Coordinated meetings and arranged conferences, clearly communicating relevant information to all attendees.
  • Led staff meetings for up to teams of 10 to communicate customer projects and report how well the team had performed during an aircraft dismantle project.
  • Improved automation possibilities for managing client correspondence, record tracking and data communications.
  • Produced purchase orders, sales quotes and invoices, both internally and external. Ensure all airlines have been invoiced for services provided and reporting monthly.
  • Precise and organised with extensive knowledge of Microsoft offices and SAGE 50 accounts programme.
  • Ensured any financial discrepancies were resolved by accurately managing banking transactions, financial records, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • General office duties.
