Summary

I am an ambitious and experienced educational leader who has worked at senior leadership level. As a Headteacher, I have proven evidence of strategically pushing a school forward, whilst managing the day to day organisation. I am able to risk assess, spot opportunities, build and maintain positive relationships with many different stakeholders, shape the thinking of others as well as manage a high level of workload.

I have shown that I can steer an organisation through a significant amount of change and concern, without losing site of school planning. My experience has enabled me to balance the expectations and decision making made from Government whilst guided and supporting a staffing body to do well.

More recently I have used these well developed skills to ensure that I have a wider impact on the educational landscape and workforce. I regularly plan for and facilitate training sessions for Primary ITT and NPQH, ensuring that my understanding of current thinking and practice is up to date. I continue to support student teachers as a personal tutor, enabling them to grow in confidence, develop skills and develop a love of teaching. I am able to support development when standards fall short and challenge where needed.

I am currently the lead Additional Learning Support Tutor for a Primary/Secondary ITT programme provider. I support tutors in writing clear plans of support for a range of students, enabling them to feel empowered to be successful on the programme as well as manage the challenges associated with adapted provision. I am able to set in place systems for monitoring these plans.

As a fully trained life, leadership and performance coach I have supported families and young people as well as educational leaders to reach their goals. I am keen to work in a socially responsible way, ensuring that families and schools have access to high quality coaching opportunities. Supporting more vulnerable families is a key focus for me.

I am passionate about children's well being and in particular bereavement support. I have experienced a significant bereavement myself but also supported my son through this. I have the rare ability to understand the challenges faced as a mother as well as a school leader.

I have built and sustained highly inclusive settings, in which every child and adult matters. I have extended this interest, supporting other school's as an Assessor and Ambassador of Inclusion Quality Mark.

I am resilient and dedicated to mine and others' professional development as well as supporting families who experience more challenges than others.

I am always keen to support organisations using my skills and as such I am currently a Trustee for a local hospice, Governor at a local primary school and support a young person weekly through the MCR Pathways scheme.
