Summary

Throughout my career I have pursued opportunities that align with my passion for Documentary, Photography, Film and Art. I have experience within the TV & Film industry as Production Coordination, Stills Photography and Art department. I have experience arranging exhibitions and exhibiting my own Photography and Film installations UK wide. The last few years I have gravitated towards working in Education, teaching Film and Photography. This has fed into supporting and inspiring my Filmmaking practice. I have a growing interest in XR/AR, recently being chosen by Sheffield Documentary Film Festival as one of the Alternate Realities Talents for 2024.

Production Coordinator

  • Production Management of 20 graduate films per year, staying abreast of all production developments, supporting H&S, answering students production, creative, logistical, installation questions.
  • Pastoral care for students, suggesting support departments and tutors to assist, offering advice one to one and in groups.
  • Ensure the students complete all paperwork before film shoots. Supervising film shoots over a two month period, be that in studio or on location.
  • Green Filmmaking sustainability lead, teaching students sustainable production methods. Building new networks for the film school, bringing in SAIL(Sustainable Arts in Leeds) to form an educational partnership.
  • Working with Employability team, tracking Alumni success in careers and in Film Festivals. Increased NFS Network; Assisting Film buddy to bring in industry contacts to speak to students across connected campus (universities across Yorkshire).
  • Social Media- Instagram and Facebook updates for the Film school to promote the NFS brand and encourage recruitment. Collaborating with the university Marketing to share stories across platforms.
  • Implement new ideas for events in the School of Arts- Organising the graduate showcase, with public Eventbrite and all promotional material. Attend BFI and other Film Networking events.
  • Responsible for supporting the student grad films to go into festivals, discussing best use of FilmFreeway, giving feedback on EPK, entering NFS films into festivals. Being the face of NFS at film festivals and RTS awards ceremonies.
  • Arranging NFS Staff social events and sharing latest NFS newsletter; awards, festivals, Green impact.

  • Chosen to be Sheffield Doc Festivals Alternate Realities Talent 2024.
  • Making films with interest in Experimental Ethnography and Embodied Documentary.
  • Currently in development of Immersive Doc experience 'Days of Coal' for The National Coal Mining Museum
  • Post Production- 'North Sea Sisters'. Successful pitch and funding to make an eco-feminist documentary to empower and highlight untold female centred stories. The film looks at grief, synostopia (grieving the environment) and female support networks.
  • I balance my Coordinating roles with my Filmmaking.

  • Chosen as an artist to be a part of a residency predominantly for PhD students from the North West AHRC consortium and abroad, to come together and discuss, play, share new visual approaches.
  • Attending masterclasses with Filmmakers and lecturers such as Jenny Holt MMU, Ken Fero Coventry University and Erik Knudsen UCLan.
  • Forming a collective with the PhD students the 'Visual Research Network'. Many are now practising filmmakers and lecturers and a part of my network.

I was part of a year programme which ran artist development meetings. We developed a photography collective that showed work at Impressions Gallery Bradford and East London Photography festival. This experience began my career as an artist and has offered an incredible network of world renowned talented Photographers and Filmmakers.
