Wellheads/Seperation

  • I am responsible for the day to day monitoring of plant conditions, equipment checks and produced waters
  • I carry out checks for plant and equipment overrides within my plant modules, recording any changes and reporting these to the CCR operators
  • I am also responsible for well head optimisation, trying to maximise plant uptime reporting any issues with plant and control systems to my supervisor and raising work requests as needed

Gas compression Operator

  • Daily routines covering collection of compressor readings and reporting back to onshore engineers, start up and shutdown of compressors in a controlled and safe manor
  • Working with control Room operators to ensure a safe and reliable gas compression plant Which helps to maintain good steady production

Control Room and Production Operator

Whilst with Chevron North Sea, I worked as both a Control Room and Production Operator on the Captain FPSO asset

  • My day to day work covered plant monitoring and sampling, equipment checks, hazard identification and the generating of any required work orders for maintenance on operating equipment using SAP systems
  • I also liaise with outside operators while they are carrying out plant maintenance
  • I am part of the Emergency response fire team covering all aspects of firefighting and rescue
  • As part of my day to day routines I was responsible for raising Work Permits and Risk Assessments following the plant and asset safe operating procedures
  • As well as carrying out my outside operator role, I was also a Control Room Technician on the asset, using Honeywell TDC 3000
  • My day to day activities included optimising plant production and maintaining an on-spec cargo, the monitoring of fire and gas safety systems
  • I regularly carried out permit audits and monitor the paperwork for override controls
  • I also worked closely with the onshore production team to maximise production, minimise downtime and the planning of maintenance work on process systems

  • My duties included isolation of plant equipment, issuing permits, sampling of effluent water being returned to the sea to DECC regulations
