Manage quick turn around for patients incoming in ambulances, if appropriate, Liaise and assist A & E staff with fast track discharges, emergency placements, emergency housing, training on the discharge process for new and current staff, act as a portal to ICMDT to access reablement services, organise and facilitate referrals to community hospital and other rehabilitation venues- such as Ty Pili Pala and also Hospitals outside the Health board, such as Brecon memorial, Ystradgynlais etc. Work closely with TOCALS, Social workers, Delta Wellbeing and 3rd sector organisations within the 3 Counties. Participate in safety board rounds to assist in identifying areas where I can support, both on CDU and in A & E.
Deal with difficult situations arising with families , care homes and services to enable smooth patient flow.

Overall responsibility in management of the community Hospital to include staff and patients
Role encompasses all aspects of managing care, staff and the Minor injuries unit, admission and discharge planning, auditing, risk assessing, incident investigation, budget management, staff development and appraisal, collaborative working with GP practise, 3rd sector organisations and extended multidisciplinary team. To work with and represent the Hospital within the community, being on the League of Friends committee being a role model and support for Student Nurse/ Grow your own students, apprentices and volunteers, plus many more facets.

Changed location to Llandovery Hospital, applied and was successful in application for Band 7 position.
