I currently work for the British Heart Foundation as a Warehouse Supervisor in Woking. I manage a team of employed staff members as well as several volunteers who work with me and my colleagues in the warehouse. My role involves loading and unloading large pieces of furniture, the removal and replacement of furniture on the shop floor using equipment and tools, assembly of furniture when it arrives to the warehouse and disassembly of furniture ready for customer deliveries.

I am responsible for the weekly invoices and monthly payments of our drivers as well as the preparation of end of week reports. I also spend time on the shop floor and tills serving and advising customers, I have a large amount of customer service experience. I am also a key holder, I open and close the store, set up the tills before the store opens and do the closing of the tills after the store is closed. I am responsible for the weekly fire alarm checks in the store.

I also manage the store and both departments in the store, shop floor and warehouse when the store manager is off or on holiday,

I have been working for Marks and Spencer for almost 10 years in a role that is called store operations. It involves warehouse duties such as unloading and loading deliveries, daily date checks for stock going out of date, seperating deliveries of chilled and ambient food into categories so all departments in the store such as the food hall, customer cafe, bakery, so they all get their stock in time before store opening.

In my job role as a Store operations colleague I am responsible for making sure the store trades legally and safely. Any maintenance issue that could impact the store's trading legally and safely, such as a till suddenly not working, lights not turning on in an area where customers could be affected, like changing rooms, or any equipment used in the customer café, such as ovens and fridges, I am responsible for investigating the issue and addressing the problem to the appropriate companies that the store works with; this is called logging maintenance jobs.

I am also responsible for opening and closing the store, following a health and safety procedure before every opening and closing of the store.

• Picked and packed customer orders with accuracy, meeting daily productivity targets.
• Carried out day-to-day warehouse duties with care and attention, maintaining compliance with safety standards.
• Assisted team members with picking, packing and processing tasks to increase overall warehouse efficiency.
• Scanned, sorted and diverted packages to appropriate warehouse departments for ease of access and accurate tracking.
• Assisted in the training of new warehouse operatives, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Operated equipment to move heavy materials and consistently followed health and safety standards.
