Hobbies & Interests

I have been very passionate about music and the arts most of my life. Having studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, I spent the first 10 years of my career performing as a professional percussionist in various orchestras and ensembles, at concert halls and high profile events all over the world.

I love playing many sports; I am a keen golfer and on a lifelong quest towards a single-figure handicap (it’s not going well). I am a UEFA-qualified football coach, and enjoy working with children of all ages and abilities. Whilst in the Royal Marines I played semi-professional football, as well as representing the Royal Navy volleyball team at National League level. I also enjoy skiing/boarding, scuba diving and sailing.
