- Ensure that all instrument/electrical equipment is maintained and repaired promptly, investigating defects and submitting reports accordingly
- Ensure that all work is carried out to requirements of Permit to work system and in compliance with safety procedures in force
- Maintain preventative maintenance programme in accordance with procedures as directed by my immediate supervisor

- Monitor any instrument/electrical equipment supplied by other contractors, to ensure that it is suitable for use within area required

- Recommend and when required embody modifications to equipment or systems to enhance safety, improve rig performance or comply with statutory notices Attend, at group base or client premises, meetings and additional training as may be required
- Supervise tasks in accordance with good engineering practice and group policy
- Provide such information to shore based engineering personnel as may be required, for smooth operation of group maintenance objectives.
