Maintain accurate production data and provide regular feedback to the planning team on production plan adherence to ensure schedules may be optimized. Promote quality and respond positively in the application of APQP'S and control plans and ensure quality standards are achieved. Hold regular cell briefings involving all cell members, Deliver all relevant improvement agendas, Safety contacts and care points and liaise on all H + s and environmental protection matters. Motivate and maximize the contribution of all cell members through the appropriate selection, training, development, coaching and appraisal. Identify potential improvements within the cell operation and lead the continuous improvement activities that will deliver an increased utilization of the production lines. Carry out asset care maintenance tasks and ensure all maintenance work requisition are completed promptly. Identify hazards and ensure that the cell members are adequately trained and fully aware of the potential hazards, the risks arising and ensure that the appropriate precautions have been taken. Ensure all cell members wear appropriate PPE and it is maintained and used correctly. Ensure that all the cell activities are carried out with due regard to statutory and Corus/Tata policy. Ensure the safe working procedures are followed and that the safe working conditions are maintained. I am still in a hands on position as a Cell Team Leader. I manage a team of ten operators operating a multi strand process line and the Favor 600t power press which we are in the process of training the operators as the line has just had a major refit So we can process aluminum. I have been very involved in this project and I have found it very interesting as I helped commission the original Favor process line back in 1996 when I started with BSD automotive. I work a 3 shift pattern and most weeks I work 7 days a week covering over time and ensuring we keep to our busy schedule. We process press blanks for major car manufactures steel and aluminum 0.50 -3.00mm gauge some to full finish skin outer panel quality level and some general purpose inner panels.
