I find that I can learn something much more effectively if I do it myself, which is why I chose to weave my own learning journey by obtaining two different higher education diplomas which have incorporated real life work experience and skills as opposed to a traditional academic learning style. My Financial Trading diploma has developed in me an eye for detail, as even the smallest price deviation could have massive impact on the markets. In addition, this course also gave way for a newly acquired interest in statistical and technical analysis, which I then further nurtured by completing a two-year apprenticeship course in Data Analysis while working for Schroders Asset Management. This apprenticeship has been a cornerstone in both my academic and career development. Academically, I have managed to further explore my interest in statistical and technical analysis by learning further about the theory behind it, but career-wise, it has equipped me with all the fundamental tools a professional Data Analyst needs. It taught me strong technical skills in industry-standard software, such as MS SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Office Tools, as well as essential skills such as Time Series Forecasting, Data collection, Data Modelling and Data Architecture. During my time at Schroders, I have also taken the role of a Business Analyst, allowing me to develop important skills like dashboard creation with Power BI, presentation and meeting approach, stakeholder management, requirements gathering, deadline management, time management and delivery ownership. Last but not least, I have managed to incorporate both Business and technical terminology in my professional vocabulary, allowing me to communicate with stakeholders and getting my ideas across more effectively. I have managed to acquire all this skills thanks to the multiple teams and projects I have been a part of, ranging from Decomissioning work all the way to creating solutions dashboards for strategic decision-making. Working for a big organization such as Schroders, I have naturally developed a corporate style of working, being no stranger to fast turnarounds, constant communication with diverse areas of the company, and Agile style of working. I want to keep developing and demonstrating all these skills, as I genuinely like what I am doing, and as such, I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology. I hope to be able to add exponential value to your company through my enthusiasm experience and domain knowledge.
Data Analysis
David has provided good insight in his findings on the FX rates quality investigation. He has shown good awareness in the research, analysis, and summarisation of the insights he has found. The final paper has been well documented and meaningful to the requirement asked. Very happy with his work and good feedback from other stakeholders he approached.

My biggest passion lies within the automotive industry. I am very interested in all things cars and mechanics. I could go on for hours about the history of Porsche cars, and how they revolutionised the sports car with their Turbo-charged rear-mounted engine, or about the glory days of Group B rally. Throughout the years I have begun collecting racing memorabilia and scale down models of my favourite cars, reminiscent of the Hot Wheels my father used to buy me as a child, as well as acquiring a load of interesting and random facts about racing history and car engineering. My dream is to someday be able to purchase and restore an old vintage sports coupe, such as a “Porsche 924”, or a “Nissan Fairlady Z” from the 80s.
