When starting a new job, I liaise with my site supervisor to organise the workload in advance. This involves communicating with customers and coordinating different trades for specific tasks. I also handle the ordering and delivery of materials to the site, which may require using a large flatbed van to collect supplies from merchants and ensuring they are moved to the appropriate areas for other trades when needed. Additionally, I am responsible for managing site waste, which includes organising skips and properly separating waste materials. This involves identifying non-landfill items like plaster, plasterboard, and insulation, which must be bagged separately and placed in the correct bins. Throughout this process, I ensure that the site remains clean, tidy, and safe and reporting any defects and hazards that occur in and around the working area to the site supervisor.
I currently work on the side of my current job of if and when i work doing small jobs cutting grass and any small landscaping jobs under taken especially in winter when work is weather dependent.
These are some of the experiences I have dealt with over the years working in construction helping the running of small sites and liaising with a site supervisor to keep the efficiency and safety of the site are main priority from start to end
