To date I have 15 years' experience in bespoke sales, i stress the bespoke aspect as originally I started my career selling renewable energy solutions—7 years later I moved over to Online Reputation Management a digital marketing solution designed to help organisation and individuals clean up Google searches of negative press.
Both offerings complete chalk and cheese, but I learnt it is not the product or service you need to sell—it's yourself. This applies not only to prospective clients but also to your team either working as part of that team or managing it. I have always prided myself on being the best that i can be and passing my knowledge and advise to others in a respectable manner , i find it imperative to lead by example as your team will gain respect and take note of your advice if they can see you as a proven success and not a dictatorship.
Whilst i will always keep a close eye and analyse individual and team performance and targets micro managing is not a style i ever agree to implement it lacks leadership and care i prefer to manage and improve my staff efficiently.
