I have worked within Logistics for over 35 years in various roles, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of a Logistics operation. Through being involved in the testing, implementation and training of various WMS applications, I have gained excellent knowledge in the end-to-end processes involved. I am a proven team player who has no problem achieving both individual and team targets. Being flexible, I can focus on new challenges easily, looking forward to meeting these challenges head on. I consider myself honest, loyal and hard-working team player, someone who would be an asset to any organisation .

Logistics Implementations Team (Manhattan Active)

  • Writing test scripts for the UI and RF functions of Manhattan Active, as well as scripts for Co-ops SCI reporting suite
  • Member of the team completing end to end UAT for the nationwide roll out of Manhattan Active
  • Report and log any test failures to the Central IT team/Manhattan with a view to work for a solution using Azure DevOps
  • Have a collective approach with the other members of the Manhattan Active Implementation team, highlighting any watch outs, changes to process and system changes compared to Manhattan 2015
  • Design and deliver training packages to various sites within the Co-op network
  • Upskill members of the training team, to ensure that they have the knowledge to train colleagues within the business.

Co-op Biggleswade Project (Secondment)

  • Successfully completed Manhattan 2015 UAT for Biggleswade depot
  • Created training materials for FLT functions for site, running training sessions for new colleagues to include all aspects of the FLT drivers role
  • Overseen the Chill operation during the initial startup, including training colleagues on ASN control duties, organizing their training at other sites
  • Monitored the sites Labour Management performance, giving recommendations to the sites key stakeholders to improve the depot performance
  • Assisted the depot in all areas of the operation by giving a hands-on approach, often at short notice
  • I have also been involved in various roles within the business:
  • Review of the milk pick operation at West Thurrock, to improve Labour Management Performance
  • Data collection, testing and run through of the 2nd round pick function, with a view to remove that functionality
  • Involvement in the Paragon Live project, including upskilling, adapting system guides to suit training needs of the site, and Go-Live support
  • Part of the team that successfully implemented Paragon Live into Andover Depot
  • Took the Lead role in successfully implementing Labour Management Directs in Coventry, creating excellent relationships with the key stakeholders on site to ensure a trouble-free role out
  • Part of the team involved in the trial of new hardware in Coventry for HMRC tobacco track and trace.

  • As the Implementation of Manhattan had been rolled out successfully, my job title changed to Logistics Implementation Team member
  • The role took in the involvement of preparation for the Wellingborough depot, from UAT testing to support on Go Lives, creating and delivering training materials in all aspects of the ambient and chill operations, and ultimately running the Chill receipt and putaway operation during start up before handing over to Wincanton
  • Following the successful opening of the Wellingborough site, I was then involved in other logistics projects
  • These included:
  • Implementation of LM Directs across the network, in which I was the lead at Coventry depot
  • Training and rollout of SAP, to which I was responsible for delivering the training for Plymouth and Carrickfergus depots
  • This also involved remote operational support during periods of the implementation
  • Collating all store details for the Tobacco Track and Trace project, and forwarding them on to the relevant PM
  • Completing UAT testing for 4 cage Llop picking
  • Completing UAT testing for Primary in Avonmouth.

Manhattan 2015 Implementation Team (Secondment)

  • Part of a team rolling out the training for the implementation of Manhattan Platform 2015
  • The £18m project has been introduced to every Co-op depot in the network, with Carrick being the final depot completed in November 2018
  • This was not only the biggest project undertaken by the Co-op, but it was also the biggest rollout of a logistics system in Europe
  • Since the start of the project, we have successfully trained 8,541 colleagues ensuring a smooth rollout to twelve depots
  • As part of my role, I have -
  • Worked as part of a remote team delivering Manhattan throughout the Co-op Network
  • Gained extensive knowledge of Manhattan 2015, including QAT Testing
  • Adapted and changed training sessions to suit the site needs
  • Created and developed training materials for use within the training sessions
  • Developed critical paths to ensure that every step of planning is followed to a timescale
  • Assisted with the development of the L&D team rota, to ensure all sessions are covered
  • Successfully delivered level one training to colleagues at 10 depots
  • Developed relationships with senior stakeholders throughout rollout, taking part in depot engagement sessions and being the L&D point of contact in Andover
  • Become the dedicated Shift lead for Carrick go-live, organizing the team into specific areas of the operation, to ensure that go-live was seamless, and discussed any issues which arisen with the site stakeholders and the rest of the team.

  • Picking ambient, security and chill store orders on a Low Level order picker using a radio Frequency system, and marshalling the order to the correct lane for loading to store
  • Using a High Reach Truck to carry out replenishments within the depot, and putting stock away from the receiving area
  • Receiving stock accurately into the depot, using hand held scanners
  • I was also one of the depot Manhattan 2015 Superusers, supporting the L&D team with the training of warehouse colleagues, as well as identifying and reporting problems during live rollout.

  • Responsible for a fleet of 6 company vans delivering tyres and exhausts to National tyres outlets from Ashington in the North to Bridlington in the South, as well as over 60 independent businesses
  • Also responsible for accurate stock counts during quarterly audits, as well as in house bi-monthly stock checks, for up to 21000 tyres and 5000 exhausts

  • Assist the General Manager in the day to day running of the depot
