I hold an MSc in Management and Consultancy from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2015. I bring nine years of experience in the education sector, starting my career as a qualified teacher of Business and Economics in Nigeria before moving to the UK, where I have worked as both a cover teacher and a supply teacher in business subjects.
Drawing on my background in business and economics, and my teaching qualification from Nigeria, I have taught GCSE and A-Level Business Studies using the AQA and Edexcel syllabus at Waterhead Academy and the Sixth Form Bolton. My lessons covered topics such as Market Structures, SWOT analysis, internal and external environments, and political, economic, social, and technological (PEST) factors.
I am experienced in managing students’ reactions to having a cover teacher, ensuring lessons remain purposeful and aligned with the school’s behaviour management policy. I strive to demonstrate my capability in the classroom from the outset, helping students stay focused on their learning. I believe in making lessons practical and engaging by connecting content to real-world scenarios, which has earned positive feedback from students and colleagues alike.
