Responsibilities included the following :-

1) Audit partner. The firm has approximately 30 audit clients, the largest of which has turnover in excess of £ 40m. I was responsible for most of these as RI and had an audit team comprising of and audit manager, 3 audit seniors and a number of audit clerks..

2) AML partner - responsible for ensuring all partners and staff were regularly updated in AML legislation.

I was also monitoring SARs which would comprise those filed by myself as well as other members of the firm.

3) Responsible for ensuring annual compliance with ICAEW requirements including :-

- Annual return

- DPB completed checklists by all partners , staff and sub-contractors

- FIT & Proper forms completed by all partners , staff and sub-

contractors

- ISQM

4) Responsible for a portfolio of approx. £ 250k fees which comprise the

following:-

- Tax return only clients

- Sole traders

- Partnerships

- Limited companies

- Charities

Manager in 4 partner Chartered accountancy firm in Leigh on Sea, Essex.

Responsibilities included :-

1) Audit manger - reporting directly to RI. I was responsible for planning, reviewing and finalising varous audits. The largest of which had a turnover rof approx. £10m.

2) Reviewing accounts & tax computations prepared by senior members of staff and reporting directly to one of the partners for finalisation.

Accounts included those of :-

- Sole traders

- Partnerships

- Limited Companies

- Charities

3) Advising and updating partners on tax issues with regards to income tax, corporation tax, VAT, trusts, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

4) Preparing monthly budgets and work plans for for my accounts team.
