SC level Cleared, Mechanical Engineer with a 2:1 BEng degree in; Mechanical Materials and Manufacturing Engineering and with a wide range of abilities that have been developed through working in; engineering consultancy, sales positions, supervisory and operative roles, in a construction environment for renewable energy projects, The Forestry Commission, restaurant management and The Royal Marines Commandos. I studied at the University of Nottingham (a top 1% in the world university) with a final year project as; The design and manufacture of an inertially and acoustically tuned exhaust manifold for an Armstrong Siddeley 234 Sapphire and completed modules in; materials engineering, manufacturing build planning, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings, lean manufacture, creativity and innovation, decision making methods; promoting a methodical and analytical approach to work, root cause analysis, six sigma and manufacturing engineering. I am proficient on multiple CAD/CAM, data/ requirements management programmes, including; Solidworks, Ansys, PTC Creo and Abaqus Vector Calibration Data Management (VCDM) and IBM DOORS and have found I have the ability to learn new programmes quickly, proving my excellent IT literacy. At the beginning of my third year, I unfortunately suffered a significant stroke which rendered me half paralysed of which I am now fully recovered. This delayed my graduation by one year as I had to focus on my physical and cognitive recovery and re-learning how to walk again. The very fact that I completed 70% of my degree having lost 20% of my brain and still managed to achieve a 2:1 proves that I do not fold under the most adverse situations and will push myself to reach the end goal.
