Summary

I am a hands on highly motivated electrical and mechanical engineer with 12 years industrial experience. I have a genuine interest in industrial processes and automation.

During my time at Rw Scotland I would be on call to solve breakdowns in a wide variety of industries. I have used my knowledge of electrical automation and control panels to quickly understand, fault find and repair equipment I had been previously unfamiliar with.

I have a good knowledge of electrical motors working in the facilities at RW Scotland as an electric motor rewinder repairing and maintaining single phase, 3 phase ac motors, dc motors and generators.

I have worked with clients to design and build and install bespoke control panels using inverter driven electric motors plc logic control, input sensors such as proximity, temperature, pressure and 4-20ma variable inputs to achieve specific client requirements.

Since October 2020 I have been the owner, operator and workshop manager at Mac Bodyworks automotive repair and restoration workshop. This role requires strong fault finding ability, problem solving, use of safe working practices and the ability to diagnose multi system issues.

  • Managing complex mechanical and electrical repairs on a verity of vehicles
  • full restorations of vehicles including welding, drivetrain, suspension, steering braking and cooling systems
  • automotive electrical fault finding, wiring repair and component testing and replacement
  • working to high standards under time pressure while maintaining customer communication and trust
  • leading and supporting others in workshop tasks, training and practical skills development.
