I am an industrious Watch Commander that brings 25 years of Fire Service experience. My current role as SME for Rope Rescue/SWAH involves engaging with a variety of internal and external partners, including Asset Management, H&S, Ops, Police Scotland, Mountain Rescue and SAS SORT. I support and direct staff to achieve high levels of performance in critical areas such as safety and have a proven record of delivering results in challenging environments and meeting tight deadlines. · Deputy Chair of UIG National Working Group for Rope Rescue and SWAH serving to shape and standardise rescue practices
· Specialist input to National Procurement Process for Height to ensure equipment meets Operational requirements
· Lead and develop staff by delivering Rope Rescue courses to achieve and maintain Target Operating Models for Technical Rope Rescue stations for national Operational capability
· Deliver and assess 4 KATA’s per Rope Rescue Watch annually maintaining currencies Nationally for Operational crews
· Deliver SWAH and SWAH Instructor courses Nationally to comply with Work at Height Regs
· I led the roll out of the new SFRS SWAH Tier 1/Tier 2 model Nationally to improve Sevice Delivery

· Created 3 National Training Documents for Rope Rescue/SWAH/Work at Height – Version Controlled, ensuring a National aligned approach to Technical Rescue
