Hi, my name is David,

Thank you for finding the time to read my C.V

My current role is a Specialist Engineer which requires troubleshooting skills, which is one of the skills I believe can be transferable to the role of Improvement Consultant to help fault find (pain points) and find solutions to the problems.

As you can see from my work experience, I have a lot of experience in customer service, with my current role having me speak directly to hundreds of customers a year, in their place of comfort, and it is a role that allows us to have those conversations with customers to open up to us about their experience of Sky, and Sky's services be them good experiences, or the not so good experiences, plus everything in between.

From 2023-2024 I had the opportunity to be the 'STS' (sales through service) champion for the region, which allowed me to offer help and guidance to engineers needing help with sales. This allowed me to speak to more engineers regarding the role out of new products Sky offer, such as new packages, plus new software such as Sirius, and allowed me to feedback issues to the STS team.

In 2025 I was asked to be part of the Together @ CSG team as part of the Effective Communication team which will focus on improving communicating to engineers via coms channels such as the Home Service 'Home Hub'.

  • This role is as below, with the addition of more complex Health & Safety tasks, such as rope access work. More complex risk assessments due to the nature of dish access.
  • Working for Sky Business to help with the rollout of Sky Q to Sky Business customers such as pubs and in public spaces. This also includes installing Sky Wi-Fi into businesses, which can be from surveying the property ensuring full coverage of Wi-Fi services, to the coding and installation of Sky equipment.
  • On top of this, my role is also to support my colleagues in taking regular calls offering any advice on anything from Health & Safety access, to sales

Home Service Engineer

The installation and servicing of Sky TV in residential properties and MDU complexes.


Duties include installing the dish, cable and box, ensuring full H&S compliance, to demonstrating the full capabilities of Sky Q, plus troubleshooting any issues.


In 2021 I was also one of the first engineers in Sky chosen to help with the rollout of Fibre To The Premises to customers houses. This includes installing FTTP from the point of splicing external fibre cable into internal ONT, and demonstrating speeds to the customer.


The DTH (Direct to Home) role also requires me to ensure all given targets are met, from 7 & 30 day revisits, sales through service (STS), and also NPS surveys.
