I have been hgv driving at Poly pearl which are early midnight to 3 am starts each day on timed deliveries throughout the week, We currently do 3 Gainsborough to Horsham runs per week so we are always close to our 90 hour rolling fortnightly hours.

we only delivery to around four locations on a regular basis, I am not one for changing jobs i just want a new challenge as i find my current job rather tedious.

I worked here for just over a year servicing maintaining Hutchinsons fleet of plant and Heavy low loader trailers which i also enjoyed the work was hard and dirty which i did not mind, But sadly my back could not handle the lifting of wheels,suspension etc.

After Medical advise i was told my back would only get worse if i kept working in my current position at the time.

I started at Walker and hauliers when i was 16 years old i served 4 years in there workshop while attending college which i completed a 3 year course for level 3 Motor tech after this i took part in the young drivers scheme through Denby transport at Lincoln gaining my Class 2 and then also my class 1.

While in employed at Walkers the use of power steered trailers,Low loader,Plant trailers and infrequently Bogie and dolly setups to carry all manors of weights and lengths/widths on a daily basis.

I then decided to go Hgv driving at Walkers which involved a wide range of abnormal work within the UK and Continent which i enjoyed.

I finished at walkers after around 19 years due to being away with work slightly too much.
