As Mission Commander, responsible for the safe navigation and tactical employment of the Poseidon MRA1 in all roles including Anti-Submarine Warfare, Anti-Surface Warfare, Search and Rescue, Overland ISR and Maritime Counter Terrorism. Additionally, acting as liaison with 56 Test and Evaluation Sqn, responsible for provision of specialist advice for multiple trials including Mk54 Torpedo, UNI-PAC III SAR Kit, Defensive Aids, and mission systems software upgrades. Currently STANEVAL Weapon Systems Officer responsible for maintenance of fleet wide operational standards, retaining OT&E liaison activities with 56 Sqn.

Qualified Navigator on CP-140M Aurora Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Qualified Trials Management Officer working on 415 Sqn (Maritime Patrol and Evaluation Unit) responsible for all aspects of planning, conduct and reporting of Operational Test and Evaluation during development and introduction to service of CP-140M Block III, and initial planning for OT&E on CP-140M Block IV. Deputy Flight Commander on Test and Evaluation Flight responsible for oversight of test planning and conduct, and training of junior Trials Officers.

Provision of specialist Mission System advice to DE&S as part of the Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft (now Voyager) programme. Worked as part of an embedded team with Airbus Military during the prototyping phase and then in the Combined Test Team through development and introduction to service.

One year academic course resulting in RAF Aerosystems qualification and MEng in Aerospace Engineering. Syllabus includes Flight Principles, Sensor and Weapon Systems, Airborne Computing and Information Systems, Test and Evaluation, Capability Acquisition and Requirements Management
