Assisted in establishing a new business unit with the objective of building out a successful International Fac team. As there was no book of business, we had to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities in the market and implement creative solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Development of business externally and within the Howden group.
Creation, broking and administration of key DUA/Facility business
- Built a Recycling product that can be rolled distributed into multiple territories.
- Created ‘hard to place’ facility with Australian coverholder –$35m GWP since 2023.
- Created Howden International Property facility, incepted Jan 2026. Wholesale/Fac.
- Manage servicing and implementation of Facilities. Work closely with the operations team to ensure process efficiency: create wordings, slips, bordereaux’s, endorsements and manage payments.
- Working in tandem with the claims team to implement claims processes.
Placement of Fac programs (Cedant, 3rd party, Wholesale).
- Establishing budgets based on historical, current and forecasted business data.
Wholesale direct insurance placements into Lloyds and MGA’S.
Assisted with European and UK facultative placements.
Supported cedant facultative driven business generated through retail placements.
Engaged with Lloyd's, company markets and MGAs for placements.
Managed the UK renewal book from November 2021 until departure from business.
Assisted in identifying and qualifying new opportunities from prospect list.
Supported engagement with prospects through cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, and email communication.
