Danny Houlton

I am a 20 year old enthusiastic team member of Everyone Active and I am seeking to develop my career in the leisure industry. During my employment as a lifeguard, I have developed a range of skills across the leisure industry. I have developed positive working relationships with the public, supporting people with disability and higher levels of need to facilitate an inclusive and welcoming environment. I recognise the importance of following workplace procedure and policy to ensure high standards of safety, safeguarding and professionalism.

In my role as team leader, I have gained experience in managing a team, showing responsibility for the leisure centre and overseeing the smooth operation of the site. I ensure timetabled tasks are completed in a timely manner. I am developing my skills in delegating tasks, providing feedback to colleagues and ensuring a positive and motivational team environment.

• I passed 8 GCSEs in 2021 including English and maths
• I successfully completed and passed the NPLQ (national pool lifeguard qualification ) in November 2023 this included AED training (using a defibrillator) and anaphylaxis shock training.
• Lifeguarding experience at two different sites.
• I walked The Coast to Coast walk alone in 2021
