Work history

Recruitment supervisor

University Hospital Birmingham
Birmingham, West Midlands
09.2022 - Current
  • Supervised recruitment processes to ensure alignment with organisational goals and candidate needs.
  • Developed and implemented strategies to enhance candidate sourcing and selection efficiency.
  • Collaborated with hiring managers to understand departmental requirements and refine job specifications.
  • Mentored junior recruitment staff to enhance their skills in candidate assessment and interview techniques.
  • I am currently working as a Recruitment Supervisor within the UHB Recruitment Department, I liaise with hiring
managers who wish to advertise their vacancy. As a recruitment supervisor you are responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of all your staff members, every morning we check the rota and phone system to check that staff members are in work and that they are safe and well. I answer queries throughout the day from staff members, the public and also hiring managers across the trust. We also have to carry out 1:1’s with our team members within our group – we discuss and go through all their work/candidates to see if there are any delays in their recruitment process and if so, how he can progress with them. Here I have had to work efficiently and effectively, again showing my proficiency using a variety of Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word, and Outlook) as well as PDF files, but also using Trust IT Systems such as ESR, Data Exchange and NHS Jobs alongside liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure their needs are met. This role also requires effective and clear communication, being extremely organized as well as excellent time-management skills.
