On many occasions of volunteer at this home, I found myself ensuring comfort of residents even with tasks as simple as a cup of tea.
I helped with several Christmas events and summer fairs with residents and relatives providing safely prepared foods and coffees.
Within my volunteering during many events staged i helped raise funds for the home to go back into the residents and help for more beneficial activities for them.

-During my time volunteering I was part of a team that had to ensure 26 horses were all taken care of - this included off mucking out, skipping out, water top ups/cleans, all horses.

-We were also responsible for grooming horses, bathing horses and exercising older horses or those coming back from injury.
I was responsible for leading in lessons, this involved supporting both younger riders and older riders during their lesson and giving lessons during pony days on horse care and the daily running of the yard.
I was often placed with nervous riders or riders with learning difficulties as I was confident and able to give reassurances, often receiving a personal thank you for the family after the lesson, or a personal request to lead in their next lesson.
