Quality Service Improvement and Education Champion for the East Midlands Spinal Network. Working alongside other members from the East Midlands to develop and implement improvement strategies for the care provision of Spinal Cord Injury patients.

Developing education tools and providing teaching to members of the Network.

• Senior Sister of Royal Derby Spinal Centre, managing a team of 43 staff caring for patients with Orthopaedic Trauma injuries and complex Spinal injuries.
• Overseeing the ward ensuring that evidence based care is delivered to an extremely high standard promoting patient safety, comfort and dignity. managing complex cases through a multi- disciplinary approach; ensuring holistic care for patients.
• Developing educational programs to educate staff with regards to best practice when caring for patients with spinal cord injuries.
• Working closely with staff to identify strategies for practice development and improvement, helping them to seek learning opportunities promoting best practice for high quality patient care.
