  • I am a very creative person and in my spare I paint. My inspiration are florals, anything botanical. I will often visit National Trust gardens and this is where I find the space to be at one with nature. I am a member of a local art group, that exhibits 3 times a year. We meet once a month, share ideas, invite guest speakers and support each other as there are some very experienced artists within the group. I often go to the cinema, museum and galleries, both local and further afield, most recent being the RA Summer Exhibition. Travel as often as possible, particularly cultural cities, most recently visited Prague, Krakow and Malta, with Marrakesh booked for next year. Busy mum of 3 girls that enjoy the theatre and dining out.

Community Art workshop Experience

I have planned and delivered children's workshops in the community in the past. I ran a series of felt-making workshops in Horsham and Godalming.

I introduce my workshops with a brief history of natural felt, the dyeing techniques used and plenty of examples. I would then begin with demonstrations on how to initially make a base with just warm water, soap and friction. The children choose their colour palette and designs so each bag is unique to that child. Children make lots of small choices, colour, blending, placement, pattern and shape and they see their decisions work.

Felt is a beautiful medium to work with and I use a lot of botanical leaves and flowers in my own work, which builds upon my ethos of sustainability "making something from nothing."

In a world where sensory regulation and wellbeing are paramount, the process of the wools texture, the repetitive rolling can be both calming and grounding.

Feltmaking rewards steady effort and the children create a tangible object that they made themselves, and experience a strong sense of achievement, especially those who may struggle with traditional art.

Most recently I have planned and run some very successful gelli-print and water colour workshops in the community.

My workshops are all about ensuring the content is fun and accessible, no pressure, no perfection, just pure creative joy.

Over the past 2 years I have run a gelli print workshops in my community. Most recently at Leonardslee Lakes and Garden and I am booked in again for Spring 2026.
