Oct 2020 I was successfully promoted to the role of UK Revenue Accountant for the KCS Group, gaining broader exposure to the wider UK finance team.

My role was later expanded to include Australia, then further again to also cover the US Distributive sector. Responsibilities include;

  • Prepare month-end revenue numbers and variance analysis within five working days for director and investor review.
  • Oversee monthly reconciliation and recognition of recurring revenue, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Reconciliation of one time revenue streams, ensuring all relevant revenue for the period is captured correctly.
  • Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure revenue accurately recognised and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Create journal entries for accruals and deferrals, and record adjustments for credits and bad debt write offs.
  • Maintain balance sheet records for all revenue-related nominal codes to ensure consistency and audit-readiness.
  • Actively contribute to year end audit, completing revenue walkthroughs with auditors, preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.


May 2023 Through continuous learning of our business and processes I also became the One Time Billing Manager for UKI and US, leading a team of four staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee accurate and timely preparation of invoices across multiple business units.
  • Assist the team in addressing billing queries raised by the credit control team.
  • Support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to support continuous team development.

Assistant accountant

Apr 2017 I was able to expand my role within the finance team to become the management accountant for inspHire Inc, after demonstrating an eagerness to learn and be involved in the accounting processes of the company.

Initially my responsibilities included;

  • Manually reconciling and recognising deferred income.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, reconciling balance sheets and completing month end commentary.
  • Working with a third party provider to complete monthly payroll for inspHire Inc.
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
  • Assisting external auditors BDO with year end audit.

I also became involved in;

  • Sales ledger billing for both recurring and one time charges
  • Supported company Accountant with preparation of UK Payroll.


Oct 2018 I became the management accountant for Current RMS, when it was hived out of inspHire Ltd for reporting purposes following the acquisition of inspHire by Kerridge Commercial Systems. My duties included;

  • Coding and payment of purchase ledger invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Full preparation and payment of payroll and pension contributions
  • Journal processing
  • Monthly preparation of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • VAT Returns


Apr 2019 I took on the management accountant responsibilities for inspHire Australia Pty Ltd, after inspHire Ltd acquired them from re-seller partner Elev8 Australia. My responsibilities included;

  • Sales and purchase ledger processing
  • Revenue Reconciliation and release
  • Prepayments and accruals
  • Full preparation of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaising with external Australian accountants to compile and pay fortnightly payroll
  • Communicating with external Australian accountants to complete Goods and Service tax returns, corporation Tax returns and submission of Year End Stat Accounts.





Key Achievements

  • Worked with the Financial Director preparing historical data for a business valuation project resulting in successful acquisition of inspHire Australia Pty Ltd
  • One of four key finance personnel involved in migrating from inspHire Corporate software and Sage to K8 Software.


Credit controller

I was the sole credit controller within the company for our UK and US branches , my responsibilities included

  • Processing banking transactions, card payments, direct debits and reconciling bank statements.
  • Contacting customers daily regarding upcoming and overdue invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • Monitoring debtor days and collaborating with other departments to resolve customer queries and issues.
  • Facilitating meetings with Ops Director to assess company risk from bad debt.
  • Coordinating with third-party debt collection agencies on disputed debts.
  • Preparing documentation for County Court Judgements.


Key Achievements

  • Successfully implemented a new integrated Credit Control Software (Credit Hound), streamlining processes allowing more time to be spent chasing customers.
  • Introduced e-invoicing to enhance billing processes and cash collection.
