I am a registered learning disability nurse with 22 years of experience working in a variety of NHS roles. For the last 10 years, I have worked within the children and young peoples service supporting young people with mental health conditions and undertaking neuro developmental assessments. I was initially a clinical lead within the neurodevelopmental pathway before moving into the team manager position. I believe that I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at forming positive rapport and handling sensitive conversations in highly pressurised situations. I have the ability to work autonomously or as part of a multidisciplinary team, having a strong understanding of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and its diagnostic criteria. I have the knowledge and Skills in differentiating ADHD from overlapping conditions, conducting risk assessments, and producing clear, evidence-based reports.
