I am motivated by a strong desire to make a meaningful impact on communities, promote access to essential services, and contribute to the well-being of individuals.
- Working with Social Prescribers and Health Care Co-Ordinators to produce NHS App how to videos.
- Presenting NHS App training to numerous community groups from those living in isolation and the elderly as well as presentations to Doctors Surgeries and other primary care bodies.
- Working with the community and voluntary groups to have my NHS App related content translated into other languages to be able to tap into harder to reach communities.
- Building relationships with all the above sectors to ensure that content is trusted and having created content also played in these different locations on waiting room screens.
- Similar project undertaken in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire with similar results just more broad objectives in making sure all those have access to the services they need.
- Built relationships with those living with Dementia and family members to find out the struggles they face and how best they can be supported as a family.
- Lead on a project called 'Loving someone living with Dementia' to give all those supporting someone with Dementia have a voice. This project was picked up on by numerous media outlets including BBC Spotlight & Greatest Hits Radio.
- Lead on a project with The Royal Cornwall Museum bringing CST into a museum setting for the first time.
- Supported to organise and run groups as a CST Facilitator.
- Funded by The Rank Foundation as a time to shine worker which enabled numerous trips around the country to learn presentation skills and public speaking practice.
Commissioned to and completed a booklet after evaluating ways the Cornwall Museum Partnership could improve memory services and the way they support the elderly.
Supporting those who live with learning and physical disabilities. Currently one evening a week.
I have undertaken a variety of roles pre 2021. These roles include a Recruitment consultant for the Dental and Pharmaceutical industries and a Caseworker supporting those in work.
From 2017 to 2019 I travelled Australia of which I had different backpacking based roles. The highlight and lowlight both being the 101 days spent picking fruit.
