Even though I have been working in sales my whole career, my role at Kilo is very different to what I have been doing previously. My role as an internal sales advisor is to maintain and grow a certain area of the UK, my area is looking after the South Coast along with London.

At Kilo I sell food ingredients and functional chemicals, I deal with all different types of businesses such as Food Manufacturers all the way to Pharmaceutical companies.


Current duties/responsibilities


  • Looking after current accounts by processing orders and checking stock levels
  • Offering customer contracts for all ingredients, resulting in keeping hold of customers business for longer
  • Up selling additional items to current customer
  • Searching for new business/accounts
  • Maintaining customer contact by email and phone
  • Organising samples to be sent to customers
  • Setting up appointments for the external sales advisor
  • Hitting KPI (Key Performance Indicator) targets monthly/quarterly
  • Reaching turnover targets monthly/quarterly
  • Working out profit margins
  • Working out delivery costs
