A placement at 'Playle and Partners LLP', strengthened a disciplined approach to analytical thinking through commercial awareness and business etiquette. This multi-disciplinary practice which specialises in designing and managing construction projects, introduced me to project management and quantity surveying roles.
Following a detailed application process, I was selected to attend a virtual insight programme into the technology and solutions company Pwc to engage in a progressive overview of the company and to further enhanced knowledge of the specialised sectors: Technology, Tax, Consulting and Audit. I participated in a sustainability project which further developed teamwork, communication, creativity and critical thinking skills. This activity reflected Pwc's purpose and ethos to build trust and solve important problems.
Following a detailed application process and interview, securing a weekly internship at 'McBrides Accountants' provided an additional insight into the industry and gifted an enhanced understanding into the company and their financial purpose. Through frequent engagements with partners with an intuition into their role, it fuelled a professionalism and influence to reach chartered status. During the valuable experience at 'McBrides Accountants', i was immersed into their variety of sectors and specialised departments to develop an enrichment into corporate finance, outsourcing and tax to attain a range of multi-complex skills including the responsibility for recording financial transactions, analysing profits, and providing strategic financial guidance.
During the 'Investment Banker Programme' at University College, London, I was introduced to hypothetical investment scenarios to trade on the capital market. Attending this collaborative programme developed an ability to calculate complex deals under pressure, build and interpret large financial models and benefit from a further understanding of valuation and technical analysis.

Through participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award , I recognised the strong value of responsibility and have learned to motivate and encourage others. Achieving the award showcased my progression and engagement to the highly respected scheme and allowed me to demonstrate passion and skill for my interests.
