I am a diligent and resourceful individual with a keen eye for detail and have a proactive approach to problem-solving and data analysis. Through my studies at university, I have obtained strong organizational and communication skills, essential for managing a range of different tasks and ensuring optimal efficiency in undertaking and completing these tasks and relevant other inquiries. Furthermore, I have undertaken research projects in which I have conducted qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, developing my research and presentation skills.
Studying criminology and criminal law at university gave me academic knowledge on subjects including sociology, psychology, forensic psychology, psychiatry and law. This knowledge base has furthered my interest and understanding in the profession of law enforcement, the criminal justice system and criminological research.
I have also had valuable exposure to the profession of policing and law enforcement through my time in the Northumbria Police Cadets, in which I volunteered at public events, working with and serving the public, learning about policing and the criminal justice system, as well as obtaining my bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh Award. Being in the Northumbria Police Cadets gave me valuable insight into the work of the police and the surrounding support roles that empower those in the field, as well as developed my skills with teamwork and communication and guiding with the public.
