Daniel Rowlands

• As Team Leader I maintain the grounds of around 130 housing sites to a high standard which can be anything from grass and hedge cutting to tree works and more recently repainting of car park markings. This contributes to excellent customer satisfaction and creating a pleasant environment for people to live. I have the trust of my manager and supervisor to do things correctly with a right first time approach which is vital to the job role.
• I am responsible for the operatives i work with,leading them by showing them the standards expected along with giving them appropriate training.
• I enjoy working as part of the wider team and regularly take the lead on the bigger jobs ,some of which can be fairly challenging.
• I'm equally adept at working alone and comfortable doing so ,as is often required when there are team absences
• Most recently i have been involved in the roll out of a new dynamic job scheduling system by doing testing sessions with the IT department.

This was a casual job i did for the duration of the July 2024 Goodwood Festival Of Speed .

My main duty was to stop people crossing the track when cars were going up the famous hill and reopening when the lead Marshall gave the all clear ,maximum attention was required at all times.

It was a fantastic experience meeting so many wonderful people both colleagues and guests and being feet away from some of the most famous cars in the world is a bit special. I was promoted to crossing team leader by the 3rd day which meant a lot as it showed they trusted me to do it after such a short time and everything went perfectly.

• Maintaining one of the best Members courses in Hampshire to a consistent standard fundamental for the game of golf.
• I completed various tasks ranging from cutting greens ,tees and fairways to installing irrigation systems and constructing new areas of the golf course
• Lone working and team working was an integral part of the job of which i enjoyed both
• Meeting with members of the club and coming up with new ideas through club social events and regular communication throughout the working day.
