My position at my family-owned accountancy company allowed me to gain more administrative experience, specifically when dealing with the back end of the company’s finances. I was assigned tasks to be completed by the end of the day which typically required me to organize and sort information that was deemed relative and useful to the operation of the company. I was tasked with the responsibility of managing 42 campers and a further 12 staff members. This position required me to manage the performance of staff whom I was directly responsible for, be more involved with the administration of the camp, as well as deal handle any issues that were presented whilst being proactive in identifying potential issues within my management responsibilities.

My appointment at the largest social project organization in the UK has provided me with additional experience in an office-based environment. This position required me to aid in counselling the clients regarding their social lives, finances, education and employment. I was tasked with filing information that is deemed important to their growth and success, being on call for any incidents that may arise and dealing with them in the appropriate manner as well as operating alone while on shift to meet any required deadlines that are required. I was responsible for assisting clients with the completion of government and private contractor documents required for their success.

Developing my leadership and communicative capabilities, my appointment at one of the highest-ranking summer camps for two consecutive summers in the USA saw me take a position of responsibility in an environment that presented unique challenges. Tasked with coaching football to all age groups of the camp, as well as being accountable for my own group of campers, I was hand selected for all out of camp trips, due to the responsible, effective and reliable working performance I exemplified during this summer. I held this position for two summers.

As a member of the American Institute of Foreign Study, I was tasked with the administrative responsibilities of critically analyzing whether applications to study and work abroad met the requirements set by the relevant governing bodies. I worked with multiple databases ensuring applicants had the necessary documents (SEVIS receipts, VISA documents, police check etc.). This position was also a client-facing role, requiring me to frequently explain the applications process and direct applicants on any missing items through clear and precise communication over the phone. I was also able to develop my inter-departmental communicative skills, as the role required constant coordination with various departments such as our marketing, international and inquiries departments.
