I come from a working class family, from which all men in the family are some sort of tradesmen or another. Wanting to follow the same path, I decided to leave school at 16 with the few qualifications I had earned, and applied for an electrical engineering course in college.

Most of my adult life I worked in and around the construction industry, with brief intervals such as 2023, where I lived the best part of a year in mexico living off my savings.

Wasn't until a little over a year ago I decided to pursue a career in writing. I spent most of 2024 just writing, not willing to apply for any opportunities until I was confident in my ability as a writer and that I feel like I actually had what it takes to be considered for such competitive roles.
