  • Administration, control and monitoring of site HACCP procedures and training. Audit and review of, Quality Management Systems, Risk Assessments, Verification and Validation systems in place for all products and processes.

  • Management of the site BRCGS Audit for site. Ensuring the audit is professionally organised and controlled.
  • Investigation, identification and advice on prevention of consumer / customer complaints. Ensuring monthly complaints meetings are in place and include trending and communication of all complaints. Communication of complaints to the site management teams weekly, highlighting any identified trends.
  • Managing site food safety and quality training across all teams.
  • Ensuring that a full Product Process review program in place to monitor and highlight any issue on process, ingredients, and finished product. All NPD, trials, launches and recipe modifications are attended and monitored by the technical team and comprehensive trial reports written and any changes identified are followed through to final specifications/testing.
  • Responsible for ensuring testing regimes for micro, environmental swabbing, meat species testing, raw material testing and calibration are in place and analysis / reporting of resultant information

  • Using SAP on a day-to-day basis looking at stocks and looking at cost variances from different lines and products throughout the bakery checking against all products that have been sent to dispatch using SU numbers and making sure that these finished goods have RFID, aiming for a 100% compliance.
  • Leading meetings with chargehands to go through the previous day’s KPI figures, going through productivity, efficiencies and waste margins per line, discussing on any issues that may need action, whether a QA, health and safety or an engineering issue that could improve targets, reporting of the overall shifts performance and any lost hours that may have not been recorded on the SIC sheets
  • Identified training needs, making sure that the team was multi-functional and could operate efficiently and effectively.
