I Joined Quartzelec Ltd at 21 years old and have had a long and extensive career within the service and repair of rotating machines, starting as a mechanical fitter and then transferring to inspection in 2022, always striving to learn new skills, very initiative based and take pride in my work, delivering the best i can along with a team of people wanting to create a great end product, Will always look at others for input or suggestions to achieve this.

As team leader for the Quality department i was heavily involved in all aspects of mechanical inspection including

  • Goods receiving inspection to correct drawings and COC
  • control of quality procedures and inspections throughout the build process to point of dispatch
  • report writing of inspection including defects
  • root cause analysis
  • working as a team with other inspectors and upper management with problem solving and resolving any issues
  • update and take control of mechanical gauge calibration
  • Ex machines responsible person, oversaw all Ex equipment was built in accordance to ATEX and BS standards and all quality documents were correct
  • responsible for training new starters in procedures and quality documents
  • assist with apprentices in completing log books, and course work giving them a better understanding of the products

personal Life

Outside of work i still enjoy being around tools, in my spare time i love to build race engines for cars/ bikes, attend track days, and socialise with like minded people. the Career i choose has gave me a bigger knowledge base on building engines and how different components and materials work with each other allowing me to build and maintain high end engines
