Summary

Studying marketing within my business course has helped inform my decision making for my future career path. It has also developed my innovation, and I am keen to obtain a position within a marketing field where I might be able to use the skills and experience I have gained at college. I am keen to learn and feel I would be an asset towards the organisation.

Combining full-time education with a part-time job has developed my organisation and time management skills.

I have a full clean UK driving license. In my spare time I enjoy and have a passion for fitness and sport. Having played football for several years I work well as part of a team, can follow direction and my experience as team captain has given me the confidence to lead a team.

Ski And Snowboard Experience

I have both skiing and snowboard experience, both at a very good level. I have been able to ski since I was 3 years old and have done a skiing holiday every year since. In recent years I have learnt to snowboard in the french alps with an instrutor for 2 weeks. This shows my dedication and pation for snow sports and I am willing to develop my skills further. I have a burning desire to spend time developing both my skiing and snowboarding experience. I have travelled to many different resorts in France including Les 3 Vallées, Alpe D’huez, Chamonix and many others. Exploring new places is also a dream of mine and I am very open minded about where I go.

Work history

Crew member

McDonald’s
02.2023 - 03.2025

I have worked part time at McDonald’s since February 2023 as a crew member. During this time, I have developed transferable business skills including teamwork, communication, problem solving and the importance of providing excellent customer service and how this contributes to a successful organisation

Through McDonald’s I have been able to prove my work ethic to my superiors as I have been reliable, flexible in my approach, and working extra hours at short notice when necessary. I have a responsibility to uphold which has a major impact on McDonald’s success.

I deal with hundreds of customers on a daily basis and additionally help train new employees and assist them on minor issues they encounter. I am the first point of contact when a customer has an issue, and I am trained to deal with that customer sufficiently. Furthermore, I am confident when dealing with customers and colleagues and can provide excellent customer service resolving any issues that may arise in a polite and courteous manner whilst upholding company values. I am versatile and can adapt depending on how busy the store is, if it is quiet I can re-stock and prepare for the rush

I have helped train several new employees, showing I can help others and take charge when required. I make myself available to them until they are comfortable working alone

My part-time work shows my ability to communicate and build relationships with others. I worked with people of many backgrounds and nationalities so sometimes had to be patient and understanding of a language barrier. Working in a team-oriented environment has allowed me to collaborate with my colleagues and ensured smooth business operations.

Finally, I have developed technical skills by using POS (Point of Sale) systems when operating the till systems as well as any other technical system. Also, knowledge for Food, Safety and Hygiene
