LED Screen Installer/Service Technician

  • I was responsible for the installation and commissioning of digital screens. Be these singular LED cabinets or a complete wall mounted screen. I have been responsible for the steel erection of the screen structure, the mounting of the screen itself, the wiring and commissioning of the screen. I also work very closely with our electrical contractors and have built up a strong relationship and understanding with them. The screen installation does involve fault finding to make sure the system is fully operational before leaving the site. The commissioning of the screen is from the communications box and will contain setting up the player and/or pc to push content and the screen configuration. These have recently been Samsung, Nova Star and UniLED components. Getting the units online and setting up the configuration. This does involve working closely and having daily communications with Samsung and recently UniLED. I have also been called upon to work within the Service department of ADXBA due to my knowledge of fault finding various electronic equipment. This would include a mixture of days, nights and twilight shifts work within a team for most screen installations and I have done a lot of solo based commissions on bus shelter advertising screens.

This role also includes a large degree of customer interaction, where training can be involved. I also maintain the computer rack that houses the working of the screen and make sure the advertisement looks the best it possibly can. As this role requires, I also work alongside other construction workers, at various heights, times of the day and on MEWPS.
