Beyond the Bay, 01/2023 - 01/2024

National Film and Television School - Tangier Island, Virginia

Description: I directed and shot a 25-minute observational documentary for my graduation project, on a budget of £6,200 over two months, unravelling the unfortunate reality of Tangier Island. This small community is grappling with the loss of 70% of its landmass, facing the imminent threat of submersion due to rising sea levels within a single generation. Through the lens of longstanding Mayor James 'Ooker' Eskridge and his younger counterpart, Vice Mayor Cameron Evans, the film captures an intergenerational response to environmental crisis.

The Guardians of Mukogodo Forest, 02/2022 - 12/2022

National Film and Television School - Kenya, Laikipia County

Description: I directed and shot a 10-minute documentary, on a budget of £1,700 over one month, telling the story of the Yiaku Indigenous Community and their symbiotic relationship with bees, which has become an unlikely saviour of Kenya's last remaining dry forest, Mukogodo Forest.
