  • I have worked this role as a lead inspector and tester and as an operative
  • The responsibilities required within this role include ensuring that equipment is suitable for the circuit and its environment, the quality of terminations, cross referencing layout and schematic drawings throughout the installation, as well as gaining test results and clearly and accurately filling out forms and certificates
  • Whilst working a lead role I have also witness tested other operatives and overseeing safe systems of work (LOTO systems)

  • It also requires strategic planning to place operatives in the most appropriate position to allow the job to stay on programme and move individuals around throughout the process of the installation the successfully deliver the project and time and within budget

Mentor for Apprentices

  • Another role I have had is to work alongside other electricians to mentor apprentices, as each electrician works slightly different to achieve the same goal and all have strengths in certain areas
