For many years I have been interested in developing my skills further than i have already. Work appeals to me because i like the prospect of helping people and understanding concepts of time management, productivity and teamwork.
I have completed several periods of work experience since year 11. I experienced work experience through school. Taking over roles of different teachers within the school. From running PE lessons and assisting in biology classes to taking food technology class' and cover lessons.
I have many interests inside and outside of school. Academically i feel that i have improved many skills whilst following and enjoying the challenge of my A Level courses. I have held several positions of responsibility in school including taking part in the school plays, assisting in KS3 lessons, captaining the school football and as part of the student council, I make recommendations to improve student development and support within the school environment.
I belong to Wodson Football club U17's currently playing in Division one. This high standard of competition and training requires me to sustain a good level of fitness. The football has presented with many challenges between attitudes of team mates and parents. I ensure i try to mediate between the two and explain that whilst we all hope to perform to the best of our abilities it is about learning and developing from performance.

I currently represent the school as a form representative, a sports representative and school representative. These are all additional duties I have volunteered for in addition to my A-Level studies in order to give me a broader range of skills working within a wider range of age groups and responsibilities.
In my own time i enjoy keeping fit and playing football. I am a keen footballer, representing a Division one team of under 17's, and training with the team. In order to build my experience in the field i applied for and was successful in completing a refereeing course.
Within school i have volunteered to read and support Key stage 3 students struggling in that aspect of their studies. This allows me to engage with students and build a rapport enabling students to feel comfortable to read in front of me and raise any areas of development they feel they need more support with. It enables me to display leadership.
Referring football has build my decision making skills that can at times present with barriers with difficult decisions being made and not agreeable to all parents. I have an awareness of the different age groups of football games requiring different laws of the game and am adaptable to these. Through referring games of a variety of ages and standards i have gained experience with people from all types of social backgrounds and feel that this has helped me to become more understanding of people's difference.
