I completed my undergraduate degree in psychosocial studies with An Upper Second-Class Honour in December 2019 after its completion I briefly worked with my brother to set up an audio visual and conferencing suit installation company based in London. In February of 2020 I relocated to Devon, and I am currently based in Honiton and working for Nu-Heat, which is an underfloor heating an renewables company working with, installers, national house builders and self-builders. I undertook my degree at the University of London, Birkbeck college. The course in Psychosocial Studies enabled me to explore the relationships between individuals and society. It focused on the psychology of individuals and the development of psychoanalysis and the effects these have had on society, history, and culture. I undertook a dissertation which represented a review of news, literature, and evidence of the way in which society judges the various groups which make up the population of the UK and other parts of the world. This helped me to develop a greater understanding of empirical research. My educational journey has enabled me further to develop into an understanding, non-judgemental individual with exceptional active listening skills along with vital life skills such as time management, problem solving, debate and effective verbal communication. Before commencing my degree, I was registered with Hayes Recruitment Ltd, and this gave me the flexibility to undertake both short and fixed term periods of employment. I worked for both small and large organisations such as Reading Borough council, Interserve, and the Royal Berkshire NHS trust and these provided me with skills in a variety of different systems that include Netsuit, EPR patient tracking, Planet facilities management software, IBM Maximo Asset Management, Agresso Business World, Elogbooks whilst also enabling me to continue to utilise my interpersonal, facilities and administration skills. My other employment history includes working in the central Administration Team for the Ealing & West London College and within the facilities team at Lewisham College. The administration post was based at the Acton campus. I was part of the administration team which provided support to the entire teaching staff. It worked closely with learners and through verbally or written feedback we were then able to implement changes as required to ensure they were satisfied with the service that was provided. During the college’s enrolment I was crucial to implementing the college’s initial assessment program by devising and undertaking workshops which provided the prospective students the skills required to commence their study if appropriate. The facilities role was in a busy South London College and provided practical support to all areas of curriculum staff to ensure students were able to work in a safe and stimulating environment. My role within this department was to develop trusting and vital relationships with both contractors and suppliers utilising both my face-to-face interpersonal skills and my excellent telephone manner to ensure all the building management requirements of the college were met efficiently. I undertook training which enabled me to raise purchase orders and process invoices effectively so that goods and services could be provided in line with the allocated budget. I also had the task of covering both the busy switchboard and the front of house reception where I would receive differing requests, queries and complaints and ensure that they were dealt with immediately or redirected to the appropriate persons or departments. I am an energetic, pro-active, and creative individual with over ten’s years administrative and office experience. I am professional and organised with exceptional interpersonal skills and using my initiative. Above all I bring my personality, commitment, and adaptable skills to all I want to achieve.
