My career started working for Butlins as a lifeguard before moving into hospitality and was quickly promoted to Supervisor at Bar Rosso and then going onto becoming a covering manager for the Manager's maternity leave, on leaving Butlins due to birth of my first child, I worked for David Lloyd Leisure for around 8 years. Started off as a bar Supervisor then promoted to duty manager followed by Food and Beverage Events manager. Many successful events were hosted from annual fireworks display to a comedy night with Paul Zerdin (America's got Talent winner) along with weddings and birthday's.
Although I enjoyed the hospitality management roles, the decision was made to try retail. Always striving for challenges and to learn new skills, always looking to progress and achieve for myself and the company.
At Heat in London I reconcile all bank transactions to declare any tax on income/spending including any items the are VAT reversals ensuring this is completed in time for the accountant to sign off each quarter. Within this I also ensure all corporation account is moved to the correct location based on the directors earnings.
Throughout the week I ensure all suppliers have been paid for the materials on accounts for the individual jobs that have been completed and monitor for payments coming to the account to ensure swift payment is received.
I have individually created all work sheets for the company and to monitor on excel. This includes a live working job sheet to give staff the time to price up each individual aspect of the job when multiple rooms. Creating a quote that can be accurate with each individual room giving the customer room to look and for easy adaptation on either side.
I have worked with the director to encourage him to drive Google reviews, although this has not been as effected as we would like we are still pushing this, I have brought in card machines for the team so the customers can have quick easy payments, I have assisted in us becoming a Which? trusted trader, I started our Google profile with several pictures of our work.

Shurgard's KPI's for this store was notoriously difficult however by sitting with the team and identifying where the struggles were I was able to target key areas to drastically improve this, whilst in completing this we took a small dip this was overcome with a larger rise improving the store and team members bonus monthly.
I took this store to one of the top performing stores within the UK market. With an average debt of 5.6% above the minimum requirement when I took over this store to driving it down to an average 1.6% through coaching the team, consistency and creating a fun atmosphere with competitions. This led to me being the captain for the district to support all stores with driving down their individual %.
The Streatham store was known for being a difficult store, taking the time at the beginning of my journey and focusing on audit along with customer feedback the store reached a high 96% on audit. This was completed by bringing in checks for all contracts and schedule for all aspects of the job to ensure everything is completed regularly and bringing results live for the team. Regularly discussing from my weekly meeting's information given and focus points for the week with a quick 10 minutes at 10am (10@10).
Like all customer related businesses Google reviews were very important to the company along with myself. Actively tracking google reviews on our KPI board allowed it to come alive with the team. I would regularly where possible reach out to any negative reviews to speak to the customer and see what I could do for them and the store to improve.

I have recently moved from London back to Clacton to be closer to family after being away for 18 years. The other reason was for my two children (16 & 11) Clacton will give them the ability to be more independent and safer (in my opinion) than London
