Volunteer Experience

  • Think Pacific, Volunteer, Fiji, 2022-07-23, 2022-08-22, I was fortunate enough to be able to stay in a rural village in Fiji for a month through an organisation known as Think Pacific. In total, I completed 120 hours of international work-related experience. I ran a daily workshop for the villagers. From this experience, I greatly strengthened my resilience as I wasn’t just completely devoted to my project, but I was actually living where I worked and fully emersed myself within their culture. Despite the difficulties of being so far from home I successfully completed this program with the best group that took part that year, (their words).
  • Angloville, Poland and Malta, 2023-08, 2024-07, Angloville is a cultural exchange program that allows young individuals to travel to European countries to teach English for multiple weeks. This experience involved closely working with groups of non-native English speakers and collaborating on presentation projects. Angloville also provides a scholarship to acquire a TEFL certification.
  • UNICEF, Consultant, Anglesey, 2019-09, 2020-05, This role required me to be a 6th form consultant for UNICEF within David Hughes. This allowed me to promote projects for worthwhile causes. I had to be sensitive to issues the school faced and global issues that required attention and signatures from school members.
  • Roofrite, Anglesey, 2019-04, 2019-05, Full-time unpaid work with Roofrite Roofing company. I had to stick to my own schedule and work long hours to get the job done and by the end of it, I had lots of experience with a good day’s hard work.
  • Student consultant, Liverpool, 2023-10, Present, I was a course representative for Liverpool Business School, my duties required me to make students aware of their voice. I used teamwork skills and problem-solving to collectively think of event ideas that would engage students.
